After having made the run from Ant
werp to San Francisco under Ideal con
ditions, the Norwegian steamer Titania
encountered fearful waather on her last.
Up of the voyage to Portland,3 and ar
rived here this morning it hour over

Captain Krueger and the officer of
the big ateamer say that seldom .have

wharf this morning and will begin dis
charging 2000 tona of general freight
tomorrow or possibly late this after
noon, when the vessel has entered
through the collector of customs' office.
The ateamer discharged 4500 tons of
freight at San Francisco, -and-ibestuff
brougnt here consists largely of struc
tural Iron and whiskey. It cornea con
signed to Balfour, Guthrie A Co,
. It took the Titania 76 days to make
the run from Antwerp to Bain Francisco,
which la considered very good time for
a vessel of her tvbe. - She came out
' with & new crewf the crew having come
to Antwerp from Norway to stga on.
: From here the ateamer will probably
proceed to Japan, although she la not
reported as being under charter for out
ward cargo. s ''
