Men's club .yesterday afternoon ' the
board of education Indorsed the school
children's parade which will be Tield on
the East Side during Rose Festlva
week. - Mr. BIgelow told the. board that
the business interests of the East Side
would raise a subscription of 1300 and
that this money would be turned in to
stead of being paid to a drlllmaster.
Physical Director Robert Krohn will
cooperate -with the business men to
make" the street procession of JuvenjUes
a great success. He will give his ser
vices in drilling the children for' the
parade and in directing the parade.
The board sltpulated before granting
the requested indorsement, that the
drills should all take place after school
hours- and that the participation . of
teachers and, pupils should not be made
compulsory. This .was satisfactory,, to

pected the volunteers this year for the
