James p. Kennedy, secretary of thO

that there haa been a dearth of candi

SAYS COUNTY SHOULD
; KEEP BOULEVARDS
Claiming that the - improvement' of
the boulevard aystem on the Peninsula
with hard surface pavements under the
present city plan would be a burden on
the property owners, the Peninsula De
velopment league last night went on
record as being opposed to the taking
over of the boulevards by the-city, and
will try to get the county to retain title
to them, r i,, i" '. ! ''-.:. '
The question ' now rests ; with, i the
county commissioners. ' The city coun
cil disregarded the wishes of the league
and of every, other club on the Penin
sula when It adopted a minority report
of the street committee, but It Is hoped
that the county commissioners will
listen to the club and retain title to the
boulevards. ?
The streetcar question came In for
another discussion by the league at Its
meeting at Arbor Lodge last night, and
the action of the min !if' t!i s'

It Is planned . now to try to ki r;
