If a track can be secured this way It
will be much cheaper -than the 1700 foot
spur proposed from the O. R, ft N. oil
tanks, up the river, to .the dock.- With
this spur In, transfer of cargoes from
water to rail and from rail to water
would ba very simple and would aava
passing through the several bridge
necessary to reach Portland. : . ,
