Lovos of company G, Washington National Guard, who was found guilty by a delinquency court for failure to attend the encampment at American laks this year, and was fined 130, has lost his SDoeal to the superior court. Judge Irwin holds that the county court 1a without Jurisdiction in th matter, as Lotos was a regularly enlisted member of the state militia. There is no further appeal possible, unless to the gov The court had Imposed a sentence of a 3U nne or zo days in Jan. i.ovos naa paid the fine. He will now pay the costs of the suit. T. Neal. an Iowa man. In some respects this is considered one of i the highest priced orchard land sales i that has taken place at Hood River, as but 10 acpes of Mr. Neal's purchase are " In bearing. Including the presidents of many colleges and universities, assembled here today to take part in a two days' pro gram of exercises In connection with the inauguration of Dr. A. Ross HIJ1 as president of the University of Mis souri. The visiting educators spent ' the most of the forenoon in getting ac quainted and in Inspecting the univer sity buildings. This afternoon there was an address by President J. G. Schurmann of Cornell univeralty. The formal inauguration will take place to- morrow morning, followed by Dr. Hill's inaugural address.
