WEATHER REPORT
' The Vancouver Island disturbance has
apparently separated Into two parts, one
of which is now central north of Mon
tana and the other has moved south to
the north California coast Moderately
heavy rains have fallen on the Pacific
slope as far south as 8an Luis Obispo
and as far taut as Pocatello. Idaho. A
large high pressure area overlies the
Mississippi valley, and a disturbance Is
, passing to sea down the St. Lawrence
valley. Snow Is falling this morning in
the lower lake region, Pennsylvania, and
at scattered places in the New England
states. The temperatures are about nor-
: tnal on the Pacific slope. It is cooler In
the Canadian northwest, and also in the
east gulf states, and warmer in the low
er Missouri and middle Mississippi val
leys. The Indications are for rain tonight
and' Thursday in southern Oregon and
for rain or snow tonight or Thursday
In eastern Washington and Idaho. Fair
weather will probably prevail In the
-Willamette valley anil sound country
during the next' 36 hours.
