A storm of marked intensity Is cen

nesota; It has caused general rains over
the Mississippi and Ohio valleys and
the lake region and snow In Montana
and the Dakotas. Light snow has also
fallen In Idaho and the eastern por
tions of these states. A marked high
pressure area has developed in the
British northwest and extends south

tion, while the low barometer area,
central over Minnesota, has caused un
seasonably warm weather In the middle
and upper Mississippi valley and the

have been general over California.
The Indications sre for occasional
rain tonight and Tuesday west of the
Cascade mountains and light snow is
Frohable over the rest of the district
