servsd the parish during the last 17H
years and who preached his last sermon

'1 am glad to have this opportunity
of expressing my appreciation of Dr.
Oorge . Van Waters, who tonight
closes a long and faithful service as
rector of this parish. Coming to this
church in the day of small things, he
has given to It the aealous service of
some of the bast years of his life. What
he has accomplished along material
lines is written in these stones, the
spiritual results are recorded above,

side, has caused the arrest of a neigh
bor, Rudolph Tartehuer, whom he
charges -with having stolen his Scotch
collie dog, valued at $35. Tartehuer
was arrested today by Constables Wag
ner and Klernan on a warrant Issued
out of the lustloe court. He declares
he did not take the dog,-but killed It..
Whether Lederer will be satisfied with
this explanation remain to be seen.
