A sweeps lng Investigation of tha affairs of the Standard Oil company In Canada was started here today as the result of a series of explosions east of here in which more than a score of persons re cently lost their lives. The Investiga tion is being conducted by both the provincial and the dominion officials. Each body is working separately but both are reviewing the same evidence. The Inquiry will include an investi atlon of the quality of oil sold ia :anada and the prices charged. Measures will be taken by the government to compel the supplying of high-grade oil.
