she received the aid of her father, with
whom she has always been a favorite.

The high pressure are,a over the north

and in strength. It, however, still con
trols tha weather In the north Pacific
states and no rain or snow has fallen
In this district during the last 24 hours.
A new low pressure area overlies 'the
southwestern distriot, and another low
pressure . area is central northeast of
the Great Lakes. The barometer is
relatively high over the east gulf states.
Light enow has fallen in southeastern
Montana, Minnesota and upper Michi
gan, and light rain has occurred at
Boston. It is colder in Montana and the
Dakotas, and ' the temperatures are
slightly below normal in the north Pa
cific states.
