Best In it Class.
The handsomest of this class of build
Ina-s so far erected by Mr. Morgan is
tne Madlson-T-arK. at tne soutneast cor
ner of Park and Madison atreeta. This
Is a pressed brick building, five stories
high and cost $87,600. This is one of
the best equipped apartment houses in
the country, and la quite the equal of
anything of the kind west of Chicago.
It is eoulDDed with automatic elevators,
the floors throughout are of hardwood
and the doors are mahogany. Mr. Mor
gan next built the Roosevelt at Eigh
teenth and Kearney atreets. This build
ing was erected especially for families
with small children, but it waa lmmedi-
atplv filled with tenants without chil
dreri. the Idea of an apartment house
built especially for children did not
seem to tak,e with the heads of fam
ilies. Adiolhlnsr the Roosevelt la the
Kearney, at the corner of Twenty-first

building, done In plaster cast, with col

building are mahogany, and the interior
finish is white enamel.

Under construction at hls time is a
five-story brick veneer structure, on
King street near Washington, for the
Hanover Building company, which will
cost about $50,000. and one for H. R
Reynolds on Wayne street, between

eight four-ropm apartments. Mr. Mor
gan also has under construction a
nurses' home for Martin Winch at Four
teenth and Market sxreets. Disappear

are two attractive and unique features
of this building. Mr. Morgan has come
to be known as the father of apartment

maintains that It is a most Drofltable
