The Willamette Motor Boat club The Drlscoll Boat company of Astoria will send their now famous "Greenhorn" to wrest the honors from th Happy Heine, the local champion In her class. In addition to these two boats, in this event will be entered several boata of unknown speed that will probably cause a surprise and change th nam of the local champion. A boat of the hydrophane type has been constructed and given several trials. Its speed is unknown. Boats of this freak type are known to have won derful speed. The entry of this boat In the scratch race, has set the local motor boaters guessing. . w The regatta will consist of four races, two scratch races and two handicap races, and the course will be between Ross Island and the steel bridge, so that the public may have an opportunity to see the boata from start to. finish. A number of valuable prizes have been E resented by the following: J. Wesley add, Rterson Machinery company. Uni ted Cigar company, Beeman-Woodard company. Ballou & Wright, and others. The members of the crew of the Ital ian warship In harbor will be asked to participate in a number of cutter races. The past experience of the club has taught it the necessity of "proper patrol of the river to keep the course clear during; th races and this matter will be well In hand, so that th day may not be marred with accidents. The Motor Boat club has established itself as a good entertainer of the pub lic and the club promises that the races tomorrow will be full of lively Interest. A few sensational features in the way of a hydroplane and other fast boats will make the races very Interesting. The committee in charge of the races consists of Commodore George J.
