Yesterday he made another appearance in court, this time In the Juvenile court as complain ing witness against a 15-year-old boy named Willie Watson, whom Wllklns accused of throwing stones at his house In the night. The work being prepared by Professor l,y man will be complete in every detail, giving the exact history of the develop ment of navigation n the Columbia from the earliest times to the present. And Artnand Ferrot and .MaiJiun Ilcnrlette Van Drals. who were charged by the government agents with having harbored Jeanne, are to be held to the federal grand jury. The man and the woman are out on bond, $2,500 each. This is the Itrst case of this character that has come up In Oregon. The action of the government was taken under s law passed bv congress last year mak inp it an offense to harbor women of JJie underworld. This particular law was pr.ssed to enable the authorities to get. at the men and women who own property and conduct places where women c.f questionable reputations spend their time and money. In all parts of the country the government has recently began proceedings In similar cases. Final arguments in the case were made yesterday before I'nited States Commissioner A. M.
