scheme, an elevated boulevnrd over the
Chicago rlvor to connect the north and

has received a black eye. For some
"mysterious reason" the boulevards
committee of the club advocated a long
causeway or viaduct which would cost
from 16.000,000 to 110,000,000 but tho
taxpayer who would have to foot the
Mils rose up wrathfully and declared
that tho viaduct not only would be but
"a rich man's causeway," a "speedway
for automobiles," a "wart" and deface

tlint such a urotPHque structure would
make Chicago's efforts to dress up gTO

the plan and during recent years she
has seen much of European boulevards
where beauty has been attained, has

busy streets. In fact. A majority of the
members of the committee which pro

likely to be constructed, but on the

The settlement of the $25,000,000

this city, one of the largest which has

in trust, haB been complicated by the
arrival of a J3, 000, 000 grandchild. Sam

became one of the richest babies in his

however, not only cost the six other

the final settlement of the trusteeship

The dragon story first gained cur
rency last February, when a rumor
spread among the superstltloun popula
tion of Sessbu province that tho crea
ture has made a brief appearance dur
ing a torrential storm which swept the
district, fluttered about for a time and
finally ascended Into the clouds In a
burst of fire and brimstone.
A night or two later Sadaplre dreamed
opportunely that the dragon had re
turned to earth and taken up its habita
tion In his Jungle. It was revealed to
him also that tliat It possessed power
to heal all diseases and thut Invalids
who visited the Jungle would be cured
Immediately.
The result was an Immediate rush
upon his land and the overflowing of nn
offertory box he had thoughtfully pro
vided on the premises with contribu
tions from devout believers In the drag
on's powers.
So much suspicion was aroused among
the authorities by the financial success
of tho visitation that Sadajlre was
finally arrested. If he can produce the
aragon the authorities promise to apolo
gize. Otherwise they say they will
irosecute him.

Comfort, durability and inexpensiveness are
among the good qualities of this splendid fur
niture, together with a simplicity and beauty of
design and color found nowhere else. This
furniture is made from the finest white oak,
and in its manufacture nothing is spared as to
quality of wood and skilled workmanship. It is
finished largely in fumed oak by a process that
yields an absolutely lasting finish of a rich lust

First Allotment Sold Out
Some few weeks ago we put on the open market our first allot
ment of stock at 10 cents per share, and this is all sold with the ex
ception of a few thatisand shares.
Fair Treatment to Our Agents
Our eastern agents report that they hare taken a number of
orders for stock, to he paid in a few days and they ask us to defer
the increase in price of our stock for a week or ten days. In justice to
our agents, who have been instrumental in selling our stock, we are
going to delay the raise in pric-e of our stock for their benefit, but
only a short time.
150 to Our Stockholders
The increase in the price of our stock means at least 150 per cent
to those who buy at 10c per share and as there are only a limited
number of shares to be sold at the increased price, there will be an
other rise in the price of our stock before many months, unless our
directors decide'to take the stock off the market entirely- then there
will not be any for sale.
Early Dividends
We are driving our tunnel right into the treasure vaults of our
mines, and ore already opened up shows that ye have only a little
further to go before reaching the permanent high-grade ore bodies;
