AT THE THEATRES
Well-Informed engineers say that the
installation of water meters is the only
solution for the water problem In the
Irvlngton-Holladay and Montavllla dis
tricts. The supply from the Mount Ta
bor reservoir is enough for the reason
able use of a population of 35,000 but
the people all over the district leave
their faucets open and thousands of
gallons are wasted. Meters would pre
vent tiis waste and save the situation,
say the engineers.
Residents of Tillamook street met
last night at the Irvington Tennis club
to consider the matter of street Im

thoroughfare to bo paved. A petition
for bltullthic pavement has already
been made, and It was the sentiment of
the meeting that the improvement be
rushed through.
