part of the city council without any
results the people of North Alblna,
through their Improvement club, adopt
ed resolutions last night favoring the
Inauguration of a new form of city
government patterned after that ln op
eration at Uett Moines, lowa.
This provides for a mayor and four
councllmen to run the city. Each coun
cilman and the mayor Is at the head of
a separate department of the munlci
pal government and each Is heavily
bonded to Insure the faithful execution
of his duties. He Is held absolutely
responsible for hi particular depart
ment, lees Moines Is said to he satis
fied with the plan there where It has
been In operation for seime time.
H. U Parsons of lies Moines ad
dressed the North Alblna Improvement
association at their meettrg last night,
explaining; how the new plan of govern
ment worked ln the Iowa city. At the
conclusion of his address the club
unanimously resolved that North Al
blna farored the new system and a
committee of three waa appointed to
take up the matter with tie advisory
board on charter revision.

regular meeting or the federated East
Side clubs tonight when they will ask
