Two marf gralnoarrlers have boen added to the list of vessels en route to this port. They are the German Harks Magdalnno and Alexander Iscnberg, the former of 2.086 tons not register and the latter registering 1,609 tons n.t. The Magdalene left Newcastle, N. R. W., for Aoapulr-o, June 20, with a cargo of coal nnd enn hardly be here before late in the fall. She wan la the river a few years apro and took wheat to Europe. She Is one of the larger wind- Jammers trnmpli'iK about (he world, her net register belli; considerably above the averago. The Alexander Isenberg will make her first visit hero this fall. The Paul Isenberg of the same line hns been here several Mmes, however. The vesucl is now on the way from Hamburg to Hono lulu with general cargo. It is also announced that possibly the French bark Ville rie Ifavre will come here to c.irry wheat to Europe. Her charter calls for Portland loading with option of Taeoma. At first when -tlie deal was closed It was understood that the bark would be sent to Puget sound, but it now develops that in all prob ability the cargo will be placed on board here. , That by far the larger bulk of the grain crop of the Pacific northwest will be shipped from Portland this season Is already apparent from the lists of fraln carriers en routo for the rcspec Ive ports. While vessels available for grain heading for Portland today rep resent 80,000 tons net register the com bined Puget sound ports can ehow only 80,000 net tons, thus giving Portland two thirds greater prestige In the wheat shipping Hue over the combined com petitors on the sound. Despite the fact that crops are not 89 heavy as last year, Portland is ex pected to export a great deil more wheat this season than any time he fore. During the year closed with th end of last month there v&ji get afloat abbui fOOO.OOi) huiihola of wheat, in eluding flour reduced to wheat, from Portland wharves, and It Is estimated that during tho season now about to begin In earnest the shipments will ag gregate at least 25,000,000 bushels. The first craft to take out the. new crop of wheat will probably be the British steamer Hraemount which was chartered a' week ago vostcrdav by Kerr. Clifford & Co. to load for Italy. She is to begin loading on the loth of next month and It is said to he doubtful in view of the. backward season if there will be enough wheat at tidewater by that time to give the craft quick dis patch. Tho' British ship Crown of India, Which was chartered several weeks ago to carry wheat to Knronr, will not he gin loading until September 15, although she is here now lying Idle at Columbia dock No. 1. With the arrival of the French bark Kugene Fautrel there are now three disengaged windjammers in the river, the other two being the British ships Leyland Brothers and Iionna Krancesca. The Jafit named Is at Astoria nnd the Leyland Brothers will go to tho dry dock next Tuesday for u general over hauling. .She is at present at the O. W. From the New Orleans Times-Democrat. "The diamond mines of India fall to pay mainly on account of a queer belief on the part of the native miners," said a jeweler. "The miners believe that diamonds grow. sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly. Hence, If they dug over a piece of promising clay last year, like as not this year they give it another digging over, lest they miss some stones that have sprouted in the meantime. "Thus half the labor is waste labor, and hence the diamond miners of India don't get on at all." Woman Built a Bungalow. From the Los Angeles Times. This is a fact that should be duly considered by those who have re peatedly been e,sappointed in their efforts to obtain a cum. In no other branch of practice has med ical science so lagged and the forms of treatment now commonly employed among the profession are largely based upon theories that have been handed down through generations of doctois. An evi dence of this ;s the prevalent in. ability to successfully cope with several of those ailments peculiar to men. MEN ONLY I brr learned Nature's ttm plyinj to their cause and cure. Through this knowlecrgv I have perfected forrrfs of treartmont, -wb oi ly 6riglnal and distinctive. Every requirement for a thorough .cure is scientifically met, and as ar result I am able to completely master cases commonly regarded as mcuf able. I especially Invite thov'e who hare been long afflicted to consult me. My success in curing difficult cases haa brought my marvelous growth of practice and made me the foremost specialist treating men's diseases. r All medicines are prepared In my own private laboratory and are absolutely fresh and pure. DR. TAYLOR nie &edlnf; Specialist. My equipment for X-Ray work enables me to make a moat th ar ea go. and scientific diagnosis. "WEAKNESS" I am confident that I have cured more cases of so-called "weakness" than any other physician. Thers may be doctors in the large eastern cities who have treated mors cases than I, but they cling to the old and Ineffective practice of dosing with tonics. "Weakness" is merely a symptom of local disorder that re quires local treatment. This is a trrtth that I have discovered, and that has been fully established by my success In effecting permanent cures. Jtfy method is original with myself and is employed by no other physician. FREE CONSULTATION To Judge my ability without per sonal consultation may be an Injus tice to yourself tBat will cost a life time or suffering. Consultation Is free and confidential and you place yourself under no obligation to me whatever by coming to talk with me about your case. VARICOCELE Under my treatment the most ag gravated cases of varicocele are oured In a few days' time. There Is no pain, and it Is seldom neces sary that the patient be detained from his occupation. Normal circulation la at onoe restored throufhout ail the organs and their natural processes of waste and repair are again established. If you are afflicted with vari cocele, consult me at once.- De lay can but bring; on aggravated conditions and nervous complica tions that will Impair the vital functions and Involve the general health. No other physloian employs a like treatment, and so thorourh is my work that there need not be the slightest fear of a lapse lute to old condltlona. CONTRACTED DISORDERS To but partially cure a contracted disease Is almost as dangerous as to allow It to ;o untreated. Unless every particle of infection and in flammation is removed, the proba bility exists that the disease will eradually work Its way into the gen eral system. Still greater Is the danger of the prostate gland becom ing chronically Inflamed, which al ways brings partial or complete loss of power. Perhaps twenty-five per cent of the cises of so-called '"weak ness" are a direct result of some Im properly treated - contracted diseases During the past five years I have treated thousands of cases of con tracted disorders and have effected an absolutely thorough and safe cure in each Instance. There have been no relapses or undesirable develop ments whatever, and my patients have been oured in lsss time than other - and less thooough forma at treatment require in producing even doubtful results.
