Those gigan tic formations bordering th coast at Bapdon, Coos county, Oregon, and com 1 monly known in that part of the state ss the "Bandon Rocks," make up one of the chief attractions for visitors , "Bandon-by-the-Sea." as this little city ts well named. Is located at the .mouth of the Coquille river and di rectly on the shore of the ocean. The city is on a high bluff at the bottom fof which extends for several miles a I beautiful beach. The big rocks number 'about a dozen and stand out in the on the Beach at Bandon, water soma distance from the shore. Many of the rocks can be reuobed from shore at low tide and visitors climb to the top and go through th natural oaves and tunnels which -the waves have formed. In high tide the surf beats through these tunnels with terrific force and the rocks form a breakwater which presents a most at tractive scene. The Bandon beach Is a tneeca for many tourists from different part of the country during the summer. Sora" have houses overlooking the ocean and make these cottages their summer Oregon. Hbode.
