; Thousands of Students and
Townspeople Celebrate
on Kincaid Field. ,

University of Oregon, Eugene, Juno
V- The -,-falluro of the referendum to
carry was celebrated here Wednesday
night by one of the. greatest rallies In
the history 'of the University of - Ore
gon. , Fully 8,000 students and towns
people were gathered on Klncald field
and enthusiasm reigned supreme.
Before the rally about 100 university
boys gathered at the dormitory and with
yells and songs marched through the
. ... town, headed by two automobiles carry

the Eugene band and, after giving some

holiday and a celebration similar to
that of last night will be held each year
to commemorate the turning point In

surprising thing is that a number of

consln. He is a graduate of the state
