S. W. She will take out about 8,600,000 feet, a portion of It to be furnished by mills here and the balance to.be supplied by mills down the Columbia river. The Yeddo arrived at Ban Francisco April 29, and haa been reported as chartered to load at Puget sound but she will come here instead. 8he is one of the largest tramp steamers plying on tha Paclfio ocean at present, and will possibly take out close to 4,000,000 feet, although MOO.QOQ la the quantity figured on. A few days before the arrival of the Teddo, the Norwegian steamer Quern Bey is due to arrive in the river to load lumber for Shanghai. The Ouernsev ia also at San Francisco, having- arrived there April 22, with a cargo of coal from .Newport News. She Is another large tramp of about-100 tons less net registry than the Teddo. Besides the Yeddo and Guernsey there are seven, other large tramp steamers booked to come here for lumber in the near future. They are the Inverklp, Forerio, Madura and Allanton, from San Francisco; the Taunton, from Ouaymas, the Tabor, ..from Bremerton, and the Strathflllan, from Batavla. ' The com bined cargoes of these carriers amount to approximately 10,000,000 feet of lum ber, i This Is the largest list of steam ton nage ever heads for this or any other port In the Paclfio northwest at one time to load lumber for foreign desti nations.. In . the meantime the five masted ailing' schooner -Henry K. Hall will come here from San Francisco to load a 'full cargo of lumber for Kobe, Japan. She will carry about 1.600,000 feet. The steamer Allanton I at San Franclaoo, having arrived there April to, from la Pas, with a cargo of coal. The Inverklp and Madura have also ar rived at San Francisco, the former on April 8 and the latter on April tl. The Inverklp goes from here to Port Plrle, Australia, and the Madura Is booked to load for Hongkong. AMONG TUB COASTERS. Several New Steam Schooners Will Reach River In Near Future, A big fleet of steam schooners Is headed for the Columbia river to load lumber for San Francisco, among them being three waft that have not been In these waters for a long time. They are the Olymple, Rainier and Tiverton. The steam , schooners . Westerner and Wellesley reached the ' river yesterday under charter o carry lumber for re turn cargo. - The Westerner stopped at the mills of the Tongue Point Lumber company and the Wellesley continued on up the river. She will in all probability take a shipment of wheat in the hold and finish up with lumber. The steam schooner Northland crossed out yesterday, bound for San Francisco with 876,000 feet of lumber, loaded it the mills of the Portland Lumber com pany, and last night the steam schoon er Washington left Rainier for San Francisco with a lumber deckload and several hundred tons of wheat and bar ley In the hold. The large steam schooner St. Helens whleh has been hauling from this port to San Francisco for some time will not return 'for several weeks because of having secured an engagement to tow a dredger from Seattle to Alaska where it is to be used for scooping gold from one of the northern river beds. Some folks who were going on a pic nic got one raw egg mixed up with the cold boiled ones and did not know how to detect it without breaking them all. A visitor was equal to the emergency. According to St. Nicholas, he took an egg between his fingers and his thumb, he twirled it on the table and it spun like a top. 'That egg," he said, "has been boiled." Another was tried with the rame result, and then he found one that he could not make spin. "Thnt. ' eald he, "is the raw egg. And so ti,e pussle wss FOlved. TAYLOR The Leading Specialist The proof of a physician's ability is to be found in the results he obtains, and although I am not at liberty to supply individual names of patients as references, the marks of supe rior skill and service are so prominent and conspicuous as to render my doing so unnec essary. Twenty-five years of success arid con stant growth Of practice is certainly a prac tical demonstration that argues the merit of my work. This is PROOF that no man can gainsay. This remarkable success"has built up my practice year by year, month by month, day by day, until it is today the largest by far in the-western part of America. Estimate for yourself my volume of practice as compared with the practice of other we$tern specialists. Is there tne slightest probability that if unable to back up all my claims, I would have won and retained the foremost place among phy sicians treating men? Could I fail to cure and yet succeed as I have? Have you ever heard of promise of mine remaining unfulfilled, or of one of my patients being,.dissatisfied with the treatment received? Consider these things and then come and talk with me in regard to' your case. I am always willing to wait for my fee until a cure is effected. My Special Treatment The methods I devised over twenty-five years ago for treating men's, diseases proved a radical step in medical science. Those methods have enabled me to cure diseases that were formerly regarded as incurable. In working out my methods. I held the theory that "WEAKNESS," for instance, was not a constitutional or functional ailment, but a, pros tatic affection, and therefore, merely local. I reasoned that its con stitutional effects were simply the results of a tremendous waste of energy due to inflammation of the prostatic gland; that this being true, a local treatment could alone effect a cure. Thereupon I devised the treatment I employ today Jith such marked success. Indeed. I have never known this treatment to fail to effect a complete and permanent cure in s comparatively short time. My treatment for other diseases peculiar to men are also along original lines and are equally successful. Henw I reiterate that no' man need be WEAK or AILING. My Special Treatment ia an open door to vigor and all the pleasures that belong to perfect health. Any man may avail himself of my services. It has been and is my life's work to aid afflicted men, alleviate their sufferings and restore them to health and vigor. I have therefore placed the charge for my services within the easy reach of any man, no matter what his circumstances. To PROVE my confidence in the results of my treatment, and as an act of good faith, . - . - 1 Will Wait for My Fee Until Yon Are Cured No man can be fairer than that, I take all the risk. Yon take none whatever. You have everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose. Seek Expert Medical Aid Now Men whose vitality is exhausted, those who have some private dis ease or weakness lurking in their system, and who are prematurely nIH i. while still young in years broken down wrecks of what they ought tov be, and who want ot be strong, and to feel as vigorous as they did be- fore they wasted tneir strengtn, to enjoy nte again, to win back the vim, vigor and vitality lost,, should consult with me before it is too late. My Direct-Method Treatment Offers a Potlthre Core ior &.very tuing man I CURE 'WEAKNESS "M'aiLnacc" i nrtr a nrvnn Hinrrlr rlamnrlitirv a .Z . ' 39 vveaKness is nui a ucivuus uisuiucr, ucinanamg a tonic system of treatment, but is merely a symptom of chronic inflammation or conges tion in the prostate' gland. This condition exists as a result of early dissipation or some improperly treated contracted disorder, and requires carefullv directed local measures only. By my own oriarinal t, prostate gland is quickly restored to its normal state, which results in full and complete return of strength for the functional disorder is entirely removed, and I am convinced that by no treatment other than my own carefully directed local measures is a radical cure of this ailment possible.
