The Portland Shipbuilding company yesterday shipped a steamboat to New port on tha Pend d'Orellle river and sent a man aiong to auoenntena tne worn of putting the pieces together, the craft having been buUt in knock-down form. The new boat will be the largest ever to ply tbe waters of that part of the country ana wiu do engagea tnis sum mer in carrying tourists through the scenic wonders to and from the sum mer resorts. It is of the sternwheel tpye and will have capacity for several nunarea passengers. The steam schooner Wellesley which arrived here this afternoon from San Francisco will take wheat In the hold and lumber for deckload. The lumber will be taken on at the mills of Clark ft Wilson, Linn ton. The steamer Eureka Is due to arrive here tomorrow from Eureka via Coos Bay to begin regular service between this nort and northern California. She will be operated by the North Paclflo Steamship company. The new steam schooner Fair haven was launched at Kruse A Banks' ship yards st North Bend yesterday. She waa built for J.' E.
