AUSTIN WINS PACIFIC
CROSS-COUNTRY RUN
(Special Dlipatch to Tbe Journal.)
Pacific University, Forest Grove, Or..
March 24 The big handicap cross coun
try run waa held last night The first
both In time and place, waS won by L.
Austin; the second by Reeher, and third
by H. Thomas. A. Robinson came In
fourth. The result was something of
a surprise. Austin and Reeher were
known to be speedy but they developed
unexpected endurance and ran a very
close race at the finish. Robinson, tha
captain of the squad. Is accounted the
best long distance runner and his fail
ure to win out is explained by Coach
Hahn as due to the heavy handicap of
60 seconds placed upon him. The time
of the winner was 18 minutes 1 second.
ana tne distance covered was some
what over three miles. There was keen
competition ror every place and the run
ners exhibited fine form, the result of
tneir winter s training. Thus rrom the
good showing made last night there will
undoubtedly be fine material for the
coming track team.

Thousands of weak . and debili
tated men are paying half they earn
to doctors or medical fakers for
poisonous dope that wrecks the
nerves and vitals.
Are you one of these men? Don't
you know that you can't get
strength from poison? Drugs don't
restore strength,
because they con
tain nothing that
builds strength.
You know that
strength comes
from nourishment.
All you get out of
drugs la poison.
Electricity is the
nourishment you
need. It is food to
the nerves. It. puts
life and vigor Into
every organ, en
abling each part
to do ita work as
Nature Intended.
The reason any
organ breaks down
or becomes weak is because It lacks
motive power just like an engine
without steam. This motive power
Is. electricity. My method is to
restore this force wherever lacking,
and strength will take the place of
weakness. My Electro-Vigor satu
rates your nerves with a constant
stream of - electric anergy. The
nerves absorb and carry it to every
part of tha body, 4 where It builds
up vitality and strength and re-.,
moves. the cause of disease.
Electro-Vigor is un electric body
battery, applied white you sleep. Ita
Influence Is soothing and Invigor
ating., Electro-Vigor requires very
little . attention, for it never needs
charging. There is no trouble or
Inconvenience of any kind attached
to tha use of this appliance.
After-'the use of Electro-VI s-o'' T
