A storm of deolded character ia de veloping over the north Paclflo coast and southwest storm warnings were accordingly ordered hoisted at 7 a. m. tins morning, at ail display stations in the forecast district High southerly winds along the coast during the night attended ths development of this storm, a maximum of 61 miles from the south east being reported from North Head and 40 miles from the south at Tatoosh Island. Fresh to brisk southerly winds also prevailed at interior point, iso rain occurred except alone the Washing ton coast and in extreme northwestern Washington. Temperatures were decid edly above the normal, especially at Portland. Walla Walla and Spokane. A moderate high overllea California and fair weather prevails In consequence over the entire southwest this morning. The pressure Is comparatively low over Kansas, and though no rain of conse quence has fallen, the temperature over the eastern slope of the Rocky moun tains has risen decidedly during; the last 14' hours. The depression noted over the Mississippi valley yesterday morn ing has. moved eastward, and ia now Fasslng off the New England' coast, leavy rains are reported over. the At lantic ami gulf states this morning.
