Upon questioning. Dr. Talbott asserts
that she did not give Dr. Heymans per
mission to make out the certificate in
her name. Heymans Insists that she
did, and to further substantiate his
claim that Dr. Talbott was in charge of
the case displayed a written statement
which he claims was made out by Dr.
Talbott and signed by the young woman
the day she was brought to the Insti
tute conducted by Heymans.
Because of the conflicting statements
made by Heymans and Dr. Talbott the
authorities will not proceed until sure
that convictions will follow.
As a. -result of tha efforts to conceal
such cases by Institutions of thla sort
the matter will be taken up by the
state and county medical .society with
a view of arriving at a definite line of
action on which to prosecute. An effort
will 'be made to revise the state law
so that it will be comprehensive enough
to allow no loophole through which
