New York. Jan. 81. Stock traders and
speculators were not greatly frightened
at what President JRoosevelt said in his
message today against corporation
abuses and speculation. In fact while
Wall street traders were not out In
force, tho stock market sent a defl to
the chief executive in the way of aa
almost general advance In value.
call money did not stirren, because
tho president spoke for Interest rates
ruled between 1 and 2 per cent, and
there was plenty of money offered. The
ireneral trend of the market todav was
dull but firm, with the total transac
tions during tho session 371,200 shares.
