The farewell of the fourteenth on
green, the holiday colors were the pre
vailing tints, and garlands of Ivy in
terwoven; with red blossoms were fes
tooned overhead. The walls were hung
with beautiful oriental' rugs; from the
balconies hung baskets of scarlet poln
settia, and red lights twinkled among
the greens of the decorations. Mrs.
Wilcox was handsome in a gown if
white chantilly lace trimmed with point
lace and touches of pompadour silk and
she- wore diamonds. Her young daugh
ter. Miss Claire, and ' ber little son,
Teddy,, were with her.
