1 While pa is trying Hard to write
John blows his horn with all his might,
And Teddies listen in high glee
Tis really good their joy to see.
2. Now, pa thinks he has had enough,
And yells out "Stop!" His tone is rough.
We guess he likes the kind of boys
Who never, never make a noise.

3. John and the Teddies move away,
And now the "band" resumes its play.
Pa looks as if he's still annoyed,
While Teddies seem quite overjoyed.
4. At last pa does what pas oft do
He gives a dollar, bright and new,
And tells the bunch to scat, vamoose,
Light out, begone, turn itself loose.
