'No matter what they are
1 doing, they are sure to be wear
ing; out their clothes."
- But the trouble is not all
;for the parents.

SALMON ABE RUNNING
IN THE I10GUE RIVER
(Bpeclil Dispatch to Tb Journal.)
Grants Pass, Or., Nov. 2h The sal
mon fishing; season has again opened
for Rogue river, and local fishermen
are 'making- good catches. A quantity
of fish are belnjr shipped every day.
Shipments and sales are made exclusive
ly through the Grants Pass Fishermen's
association, to which every "commercial
fisherman" engaged in fishing on Kogue
river near this city belongs. Formerly
the fishermen worked individually, and
were not able to get as good returns
or handle salmon In as large quantity
as through the association. The fish
ermen employ launches and seines, fish
ing principally at night. They expect
a good run of salmon this winter sea
son. The fish now making the river
are steeiheads and sllversldes.
