The obstructionists, headed by Grove
K Johnson, a leading Southern rnclflc
man from Sacramento, claim to have
discovered that the functions In the tax
delinquent act are ministerial, whereas
the governor's call provides only for
" the enactment of Judicial lcgislutlorr
They therefore claim that a new call
must be Issued to remedy the defect
and secure adequate and accurate lels-

E. C. Cooper, the governor's secretary,
told the Judicial committee of the as

ease 1 often paved by the neglect of
early symptoms, when. If taken. In time,
the trouble would have been arrested.
Every letter receives my personal at

and on Its merits. The symptoms and

symptoms vanish. To "strike at the

Tyler Will Be Freed.
(United Press Lesttd Wire.)
Rathdrum, Ida,, Nov. SI. Testimony
given by Harvey Brown at the former
trial was read by the defense In th
Stjv Adarrs case this morning. Brown
was recently assassinated at Baker
City, Oregon, and It was charged that
the Western Federation was responsible
for the crime.
The testimony of Brown was most
important for the defense. It shows the
manner in which Steve Adams was ar
rested and hurried off to the' peniten
tiary. The defense will probably cloe be
fore adjournment tonight. Then the
state will require about a day for re
buttal. Clirence Darrow will make the prin
cipal argument for the defense, while
Knight and Hawley will divide the
honors for the state.
It is the opinion here that Adams will
he acquitted. If so an officer from
Colorado, who is en route here will
Immediately arrest Adams on . the
charge of the murder of Arthur Collins.
