McMinnville, Or., Aug. 2. The two principal dairymen of thla place, Kauff- man Brothers and B. F. Tocom, have been trying to raise the price of milk from I cents to 7H cents per quart for some time past They finally enlisted several private parties and printed no tice, signing their names and scattering them over town. As a result a large number have ordered their supply I stopped and are taking of private par ties who still sell for E cents Snma customers sre quite indignant, and say they will not be dominated by this would-be trust. The notice was as follows: "On and after August 1. 1907, the price of milk will be. as follows: Quarts, per month, $2.26; pints, per month, $1.26 Quarts ln two deliveries will go at pint rates; wholesale rates, 26 cents per gallon." This was signed by the following: Kauffman Brothers, S. F. Yocom, B A Nowak, E. A. Seitters, Mrs. William Schmitt. T. A. Turner, Mrs. Harrington. K. W. Hannaford, Mrs. O. W. Jones, Mrs. E. E. Brower. An inquest over the remain of Hans C. Habersatt. this afternoon, whose de mise occurred under what Prosecuting Attorney Manning Intimated suspicious circumstances, resulted ln finding that Habersatt died of natural causes, ac cording to the evidence presented by Dr. J. D. Fenton. Fatty degeneration of the heart waa olaced on the riaath certificate over tha signatures of the coroner's Jury. - In accordance with the request of wie prusBcuung attorney a verdict ln the case was rostnoned from rMt.ni.i, until 1:30 o'clock thla afternoon at which time the attorney promised to present evidence of fojil play. The Jury waited untl 2 o'clock for the attorney j.. 1 " nju men louna the verdict given above. Habersatt died suddenly In his apart ments at 271 Pine street Wednesday afternoon. The attorney received no nce mat an was not well with the case, but it is supposed could not collect con vincing evidence ln the short time given. There is no law tompelllna- an attend-; ing physician to present any evidence regarding tha symptoms of any patient before death.
