Cleone, Or.,, a small village near Troutdale, are alarmed over an unquar antlned case, of. diphtheria, which is termed by one physician sore throat, but which has been pronounced by another to be near enough to the real thing to deserve quarantine. Dr. W. E. Lewis, In a communication, informs the-board that the child in Mr. Bennett's family at Cleone has been ex amined by. himself and another physi cian. The former diagnosed the case as not being diphtheria. The neighbors, however, mused to be comforted, and Dr. Lewis enforced a quarantine for the time to quiet the neighborhood. Mr. Bennett however, objects strenuously to hia "htlrt helna- kant out of nrhnnl and his family quarantined for a case of sore throat, - and ' the . quarantine officer will visit Cleone and pass on the case.
