1 SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20 THE MORNING ASTORIAN, ASTORIA, OREGON. V The Royal Royal Baking Powder has not iu counterpart at home or abroad, hs qualities, which make the food nutritious and healthful, are peculiar to itself and are not constituent in other leavening agents. The Daily Market Report PORTLAND, Feb. 19. -Front-street denlcri In country dreised meats today reported the market lightly overloaded with veal, and prices at t remit were off (ruction, the bet moving t 10 cents pound. Fairly liberal offering! of veal are expected for the next month or two and there I) a possibility of a further light decline. The market wsa well supplied with pork, but stocks for the time were not heavy enough to cause any wentnesa, and yesterday's prices were maintained. In mutton, as uual there was little doing on Front street. The prospect is for t clean up in the poultry trade tomorrow. Values In all lines held firmly at the last level today and everything that came In moved readily. Orange Market Still Firm. The orange market usually weak ens about this time of the year, but this seaion heavy rains In the South have serioualy Interfered with pick ing, packing and shipping operations, and the market generally have held up better at a result. Clear weather Is now repdrted in the orange-growing districts, and the chances are for a freer movement of the fruit from this time on. For the present the market prices are likely to yield somewhat within the next few weeks. Applea continue to move in a steady way at the prices that have ruled for the past two weeks. In other fruits there were no develop ments today. j ' Eggt Are Still Going Down. F.ggs were quoted at 19 to 20 cents In the Front-street market to day, and shipping orders, which have reduced the surplus to some extent, this week, were not sufficient to ef: feet a clean-up, and the prospect Is for a further decline. Practically all the retailers of the city are getting eggs direct from the country, which restricts trade on Front street, so the wholesale markets have to depend largely upon the outside demand. Aa a consequence of the early rush in egg production and the awlft decline i in prices storage operations this sea son may begin earlier than usual. . WHOLESALE PRICES. McCarver, living at 286 Hoi- iiday St., Portland, Ore., says: "Some years ago Doan's Kidney Pills proved of great benefit to me and I public ly recommended them. Since then I have advised many of my fellow workmen to give them a trial and the results have been satisfactory in ev ery instance. I believe kidney trouble in my case was brought on by a cold. I had always been somewhat skeptical regarding proprietary medi cines but somehow the claims made for Doan's Kidney Tills impressed me and I began their use. Relief soon followed and I have had no ser ious return of kidney complaint since." For sale by all dealers. Price, 50 cents.
