' County Court At the meeting of the county court yesterday a bill put in by Justice Brallier of Seaside was disallowed. At election time Justice Brallier swore in a number of voters and for ifiat sen-ice put in a small bill to the county, - The court found that inas iruch as it was the duty of the judges to swear in such voters there was no reason why the bill of Justice Brail ier should be paid and accordingly disallowed it. The court entered in to a contract with George P. Clark, the expert accountant, to audit the county books again for the year 1909. The work is to be done twice and at a total cost of not to exceed $300. The question of the agitation of tak ing from the sheriffs the collection of county taxes was also considered by the court, and it arrived at the conclusion that if the legislature does make any change in the present law that it should provide for the collec tion by the county treasurer, and es pecially not by the assessor. The matter is now being considered by seme of the Oregon legislators, and the court will send a copy of its opin ion to each of the Clatsop delegation.
