made an attempt to end her life last
night thinking that would be , the
easiest way out of her troubles.
Fro mthe counter at which she

ehild took a piece of brown wrapping
paper and hastily ssribhled a note to
her mother telling her that she was
dead, and that she was very sorry
thereat. She said that she did it be
cause the butcher and the grocer
would not trust her for the things
she was sent after and that she was
bad, she knew, but hoped her mother
would forgive her. After handing
the note to the grocer with a request
to have it delivered to her mama, the
child hastily swallowed the remain

vented any serious consequences.
It Can't Be Beat
The best of all teachers is exper
ience. C. M. Harden, of Silver City,
North Carolina, says: "I find Elec
tric Bitters does all that's claimed for
it. For stomach, Liver and Kidney
troubles it can't be beat. I have tried
it and find it a most excellent medi
cine." Mr. Harden is right; it's the
best of all medicines also for weak
ness, lame back, and all run-down
conditions. Best too for chills and
malaria. Sold under guarantee at
