OREGON t M HI MIMIh Reference to the Bugsboo Which Ea thrilled Him Began to Creep Into Hit Sermont Hia Frienda Greatly Worried. CHICAGO, June 17.-A deapstch to the Tribune from sterling. 1 11 say ; From a txong man physiciaMy and mentally to an inmate of an insane asylum wrecked both in. mind and body it the ' metamorphosis of a prominent.,' minister of this" city, through the hallucination that he had told a lie about a member of his con gregation. ' i The decline of the preacher follow ing the birth of his delusion was rapid Only a few weeks sufficed to trans form him from a vigorous, aggressive exponent of the Gospel to a subject for legal inquiry! The Rev. Ezra Florry has for a long time been the pastor of the Church of the Brethren better known as the Dunkard Church in this city. Mr. Florry taught a literal interpreta tion of the Bible. No word of his mouth admitted of doubt until a short time ago. His intimate friends were puzzled one day to hear him speak of injuring one of his devotees by speaking untruthfully of him. The investigation showed that this only existed in the mind of their pa tor and they endeavered to lead him away from his morose thoughts. Their efforts were of no avaiL From dwelling upon the subject among friends, the minister continued until he included all to whow he talk ed in his self-denunciation. Reference to the bugaboo which enthralled him began to creep into his sermons. Then the delusion became even more firmly fixed and grew to the ex tent that he imagined himself pursued by the person he thought he had wronged. At last it became impera tive that something be done. His case was taken into the probate court and last night, after having been adjudg ed of unsound mind, he was Jtaken to an asylum. Before coming to this city, Mr. Florry was a. resident of Dayton, Ohio, where he was widely known among members, of the D.unkard Church. The Cases of the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth District of Missouri Were Decided in Favor of the Taft Delegates. . CHICAGO, June 17. It was after 4 a. m. today when the committee on credentials, after an all night session, passed upon the last contests, closing the list with the cases covering the entire State of Texas case was decid ed by the committee in accordance with the previous decisions of .. the national committee and in almost every instance the seated delegate was one instructed for Taft. A de senting report, will be made by the minority of the committee. In the Tennessee cases the decis ions of the national committee, were all confirmed, the contests involving the delegation at large and the sec ond, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and tenth districts all but two of the entire state. Practically the whole time was devoted to the sec ond district, represented by Con gressman N'. W. Hale. He was op posed by R. W. Austin, formerly United States consul general at Glasgow and now a candidate for the republican campaign nomination. The cases of the tenth, eleventh ad twelfth districts of Missouri were decided in favor of Taft delegates as they were by the national committee. Just after 4 a. m. the Texas cases were completed, all the Taft dele gates being seated, in accordance with the previous difficulties of the national committee. The Texas cases covered the entire list. This completes the list of contests. In the Arizona case the committee seated the Sloan-Powell delegation in accordance with the recommendation of the national committee. This was not a case of Taft or anti-Taft. The territory is entitled to two delegates, four had credentials and the proposi tion was made that all four be seated with half a vote each. The committee refused to do this.
