On top of thin the government exhibit and building cost more that another half a million. In all, Uncle Sam aided tht Ter-OenU nial to the extent of mora thast $2, 000.000. ' ' Since tht United State government begun to patronize exposition down to the Jamestown show, Congress ha ap propriated a total of $28,752,251. Only $485,000 of this money has been ex pended west, of th Rocky mountain, the Lewis and Clark exposition, one of the most succesful expositions ever held, receiving the benefit of the latter amount. ; The bill that will be introduced at the forthcoming session of Congress will request n appropriation of $1,175,000.
