A very pretty home wedding was eolenmized at the residence of Mrs. Jennie'Busey at 647 Franklin avenue at 3:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, June 12, 1907, when her daughter, An nie Margaret, became the wife of Frank It, Bishop of this city, in the presence of only few immediate relative and friends. The bride and groom stood in the south parlor amid a wealth of Sow er as the Rev. C, C. Earick, pastor of the Methodist Church, with an impres ive, yet simple and exceedingly pretty ring ceremony, made them husband and wife. The bride wa becomingly at-' tired in a handsomely made lingerie frock trimmed with white embroidery, and carried a bunch of bridal roses, and looked the beautiful woman that her life characterize her to be. The home wa very prettily decorated. Mr. H. C. Fer ri, of Portland, played the wedding march. The bride was attended by the following bridesmaids: Misses Amy Rannels, Margaret Higgins, Anna Mc Lean, Nellie Brooks, Jessie Kellman, Gertrude Upshur, Elizabeth Busey, and Mis Julia Bishop, sister of the groom. The other boy' eoukl not find work that suited him and eventually both of them decided to skip out. However, Captain Fy field was up to their move and ac companied them here. The sheriff took them in charge and after taking them to the office pointed out to them the folly of their way. He amo confiscated their baggage till such time a they were prepared to pay off their indebted ness to Captain Ray Held, which amount ed to $14. The boy are now endeavor ing to obtain work in Astoria till such time a they can square their indebted ne and earn enough money to carry them back to Portland. ELECTION OF SCHOOL DIRECTOR. Dr. T. L. Ball Petitioned To Be a Can didate, A petition hat been circulated mmpt the representative citizen and business men asking Dr. T. I Ball to became a candidate at the election to be held June II to fill the vacancy on the Board of School Director. The petition has been signed by over 130 name and it is thought that Dr. Bad will content to being a candidate to succeed J. E. Mji gins who leave the board after having served for 12 years. All three of Mr. John McUowan's broth- ers were present a well as hi father, Charles McGowan acting as best man. The bridesmaid was Miss Nancy Held. After the wedding the bride and groom departed on their honeymoon trip for the Hound and they will eventually re turn to Ilwaco to take up their resi dence for the summer.
