Many of the young society people
trooped merrily to the skating rink at

Mrs. W. S. Gilbert entertained the
ladles of the Birthday Club of the
Presbyterian church on Friday. About
twenty-five ladies were there and a
dlightful afternoon was spent.

with a card party at St. Mary's church
hall on next Tuesday.

dy pioneer, who celebrated his eighty-
ffth birthday last week, was given a
surprise party on Saturday, January
5, in honor of the twelfth anniversary,
where the afternoon wu spent in
g-mes, singing and recitations. Later
Miss Grade's mother, Mrs. Nellli
Williams, served a dainty lunch to the
cMldren. Miss Grade Williams was
the recipient of many birthday gifts,
together with many happy returns of
