It recom mended that the Rugby game be in troduced an a substitute. In the same resolution this commit tee recommended that inter-collegiate foot bull contests ahall no long. be held under the direction of the preent rules committee, which sits in tha Fast each year and revises the methods of play ing the college game. The bow of a schooner with the letter "F" cut in the wood, and other wreckage believed to be from the sealing schooner Fawn has been washed athore on the West (coast of Vancouver island. The Fawn was lust reported when she left Bea ring sea on Octolwr 4th. She was long since given up for lost.
