One of the most prominent events In Boreman (Mont.) society circles took place last Monday evening at the res idence of Mrs. Lucy Palmer, when her daughter. Miss Ethel Palmer, was married to Mr. Thomas B. Leake. Sweet pens were used for the decora tions, the wedding ceremony being per formed under an arch of pink and cream sweet pea. The side parlor where the punch was served was dec orated In red aweet peas, and a large wedding bell made of fed peaa hung over the punch bowl. The dining room waa decorated in pink and white sweet peas and smllax, and looked very pret ty under the illumination of pink randies. The bride was dressed In a beautiful gown of cream voile over taffeta silk and wore a veil of neallne. She carried a shower boquet of bride's roses. Miss Kdyth Houston was the bridesmaid and was dressed in a pink gown of crepe je chine and tarried a shower boiuet of pltik sweet peas. Dr. Clyde Jump acted as best man and jMIss Grace Grlffln played Mendela ,sohn's Wedding March. The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Lewis of the Episcopal church and the bride was given away by her mother. A large wedding reception was held Immediately after the wedding cere mony and many handsome and costly wedding gifts were received. Mr. and Mrs. Leake departed on the midnight train for a two weeks' trip to Hunter's Hot Hprlngs and other ptaces, after which they will reside In Bozeman. ... Mrs. Walter Robb gave a picnic to old Port Clatsop on the Lewis and Clark on Wednesday for a lurge number of her friends. The steamer Electro con veyed Mrs. Robb's guests. A snd story comes from Pendleton of an old soldier who was robbed In Portland and has walked from Port land to Pendleton on his way to Boise. The man Is George Westfall. 74 years of age, and a veteran of the civil war. He relates having left the soldiers' home at Boise a few weeks ago and gone to Oregon City for a visit. While in Portland on his return he was held up on the streets and robbed of $30. all the money he had.
