The pair en tered the house and later came out. The victim carried a miniature trunk bout 10 Inches long and four inches wide. The "steerer" took the vic tim to an express office, where the little trunk which the victim thought contained $5000 In bills printed from stolen government plates was shipped to New Haven. Then the nispectors placed the "steerer" and the "trail er " under arrest. The victim said he 'had paid $.W for the supposed money, and was thunder struck hen the Inspectors secured the trunk and showed him that It con tained nothing but slips of green paper cut to the size of bills. A few moment after Brown and Baker had been arrested Jhe " plant " was raid ed, and the Gottliebs were taken Into custody. In the house nil manner of green goods paraphernalia was found; circular letters, a doien or more of the little tmnks and plies of green paper. Henry and Brown were ar rested last night at the ferry.
