The average sands, he slates, from around about Hammond, Klnvol nnd Fort Stevens yielded It per Ion In gold and 14 per cent of magnetic Iron. Some select sands assayed a nli?h ns $2.30 a ton, The average sands of the dunes of Gearhart yielded 85 cents per ton on assay and 4 per cent of Iron. Snnds of the seaside ylelled It per ton.
