Ruch was an Ash land visitor a few days this week while on his way from Stanford University to Eugene where he will become a member of the University of Oregon faculty. Prof. Ruch was a" former Instructor in the Ashland high school. Mrs. Bessie June Day, wife of C. R, Day, dlod at a local hospital on Wednosday, June 11, 1919, at the age of neaHy 21 years. The deceased had lived hero albout two years. The body was shipped to Red Bluff, Cal, her native home, wheria interment will take place Saturday. Mrs. J. A. McMillan, of Edmonton, Allerta, Canada, arrived In Ashland this webk to pay a visit to her sis ters, Mrs. Susie L. Allen, Mrs. Mary E. Dickey and Miss Sarah Fox.
