THOUSANDS OF WOMEN suffer miserably from
periodic attacks of headache, never dreaming
that a permanent cure may be had. Headache
nearly always results from some disorder of the
stomach, liver or bowels. Take Chamberlain's
Tablets. They will correct these disorders and
there will bo no more headache. Many have been
permanently cured by Chamberlain's Tablets.

WOULD RUIN THE STATE
In many localities throughout Ore
gon meetings have been called for dis
cussion among farmers and bu3incs3
men, of a constitutional amendment,
proposed by initiative which is to limit
the legal rate of Interest to be charged
In the state of Oregon to 4 per cent
on all moneys after thpy become due,
and 6 per cent on what am known a3
contract loans. The measure will o
before the voters at the general elec
tion to be held Tuesday, November 2.
It Is estimated that 70 per cent of
money leaned in Oronr.n comes from
cu!:!lde the R'ntp. and this would be
withdrawn over right if such a meas
ure as this should pass.
The wording of I lie proposed meas
ure apppars to benefit the borrower
by giving him cheap intnpst rates nut
low rater, without any money to Inr
row v!ll not help the man ne.ed.ng
money.
With he U. S. Government paying
6 per cent for money what, chance
would individuals in Oregon stand to
get it at 4 and 5 per cent?
Franklin T. Griffith, president of
Portland Railway Light and Power
Company, says the measure would lit
erally ruin the Btate. It would clo.se
industries and throw thousands of
men out of work.

THE UNIVERSAL CAR
Here's the Ford Coupe, deservedly a very popular motor car because
of its all-round serviceability. Equipped with electric starting and
lighting system and demountable rims with 3-inch tires front and
rear. Large plate glass windows. Generous sized doors roomy seat,
upholstery deep and substantial. Dust-proof and water-proof. Breezy
and cheery in fine weather, cozy and dry in bad weather. All the
established Ford merits of dependability, with small cost for opera
tion and upkeep. For business and professional men who drive it
is ideal and for touring and other pleasure driving it is the one car
that delivers all expectations. The demand is large so orders should
be left with us without delay.
