ELECTRIC CO'S. STACK
BLOWS DOWN SUNDAY
The hugh smokestack on the
plant of the Yaquina Electric
Company in this city had about
eight feat blown off of the top
of it, early Sunday morning,
during the heavy wind and rain

feet in height and four feet In
diameter, and it certainly made
a racket when it toppled over
on the corrugated iron roof of
the plant, and then slid to the
ground. Lawrence Altree was in
charge and thought that the
plain had been hit by a German
bomb.
