Petitions for a recall election have been filed and th" county attorney of. Tillamook countv will soon face a recall election. The attorney was appointed by Governor West. Since the re call proceedings have been star ted the Governor has asked his resignation, thus hoping to save the county the expense of ah election. The request was re fused and the election will be held. We have heard consid erable talk of a recall in this county, but we do not believe it to be good policy, as it costs too much to hold an election, and the same result can be ob tained at a general election. We do not believe In the recall being invoked urlcss absolutely necessary. J. RYAN LOSES LIFE Last Saturday evening as the passenger train was leaving town it struck J.
