Ells, lately of Coos bay, who has been working in the saw mill h' re, was arrested and was tried ii. Justice Parrish's court Tuesday, charge with assault with intent to rape. He was bound over to the grand jury under $1000 bonds. Up to the present time he has been unable to furnish the bond so is being held in the county jail. His alleged victim whs thn picrht year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R R. Wilson. County Attorney Stewart prosecuted and W. E. Gwynn and E.J, Clark defended.
