Siletz came over Sunday full of
confidence as undisputed champions
of the county, but the Toledo boys
had not been idle and put up a
different game from what they did
the Lst time Siletz was here. Ful
ler started the thine off by fanning
out the firt six Siletz batters, and
during the game fanned a total of
15 batters. Siletz made her tallies,
five in the third innintr. two in the
seventh and two in the ninth. To
ledo's were, made, one in the first,
three in the second, one in the
fourth, eight in the fifth and one
in the sixth. Casey retired during
the fifth inning in favor of Houser,
but Houser was unable to stop the
landslide until a total of eight runs

Houser struck out five batters dur
ing his reign on the. mound and '.
gave four, batters free passes to
first.. Fuller also . .allowed four
passes on balls. Struck by pitched

mile gap in the Toledo-Siletz rock
road. When thit piece of work

Siletz valley and it is as fine a road
as can be found anywhere in the

It is announced that the C. & V.
railroad will put on the noon train
next Monday morning. This is the
regular bummer tram leaving Al

Miss Mabel Booth of this citv
has the distinction of receiving the
highest percentage in the recent
Eighth Grade examination of any
pupil in the county taking the ex
amination. Her percentage was
