J. Ofstedahl, aged 23 yeurs. 2 months
and 29 days.
Deceased whs the eldest son, of Mr.
Elese Ofstedabl of this place. He had
been living for the past two years at
Pasco, Washington, where be was en
gaged in the watchmaking business.
Until going to Washington he had lived
iu Toledo with his parents since early
youth, he was a most exemplary young
man, a good comrade, a dutiful son and
h loving brother. He leaves, besides
hi- mother, a brother, Clarence, and a
Histur, Ruth.
The body was brought to Toledo Mon
day evening. Funeral services were
conducted at the M. E. church Tuesday
nr. 10 o'clock, Rev. Rinerlsou of Silver
ton officiating. A large attendance of
sorrowing friends paid their last tribute
to their old schoolmate and frind.
The remains were laid to rest in the
Toledo cemetery.

G. R. Schenck and Wade Brothers
are repairing the damage to the dyke
during the high tide of last week. They
are driving piling.
The heavy rains of the past, week
have swollen the creeks sufficiently to
permit the running of logs to tidewater.
Altree's logging crew started running
logs down the Depot this morning.

the Indemnity Fuud, be transferred to

In the mutter of the delinquent tax
roll for the year 190G: At this time
came on for consideration the delin
quent tax roll for the year 190G, to
gether with the .Sheriff's statement
compiled therefrom and with hid cer
tificate attached thereto from which
it appears to the Court that the total
amount of taxes collected for said year
is $42301.51; the total amonnt of double
assessments and other errors is $1540.80;
the amount of Sheriff's assessments col
lected and uncollected is 81028.1 1, and
all other niatter Hffecting his said re
turn on said tax roll, mid it further
appears therefrom that said Sheriff
struck a balance thereon between the
total of Ihe tax list as given him aud
the total collections, less such errors
and other matters therein stated, which
balance is $457(3.43; and it further ap
pearing to the Court therefrom that

thereon iu form and manner as by law

In the matter of the delinquent tax'
roll for the year 1900: It is hereby or-''
dered that the County Clerk advertise
for sealed bids for publishing the do-:
linquenl tax sale for the year 1900, said
sealed bids to bo filed with 'the Clerk
on or before January 1, 1908; also state
in said advertisement for sealed bids,
that the Court retains the power to
reject any or all bids.
Court adjourned until next regular
term in January, 1908.
