The school children are looking for ward with delight to a visit from Santa Claus and the Christmas vacation. John Kentta's house caught fire on the roof one day last week, but was extinguished before much damage was done. Hall Bros, are building' an addition to their tenant house. John Newberry, who weDt to Port land to have his throat doctored, has returned much improved in health. Foster Lane of the Upper Farm killed an owl the other day that weighed fif teen pounds. John Ginger and wife of Lower Siletz are at Rock Creek to trap ou the Upper Farm along the creeks. ",t Jim Watts of the Agency had' a closo call from fire Sunday morning. His bouse caught fire and Joe .Gay Was in time to save it. We now have part of ihe band instru ments at the school and will keep Uncle Sam awake during the day.
